In the autumn of 1995 I had my first lecture on dreams, which was part of the Quantum program of Makronova Centre in Zagreb. That was the first time I publicly presented my hypothesis on how to approach the physical and energetic levels of human beings through the dream work. After that lecture I started leading two weekly workshops, one about the dream work and the other one about dance/movement and energetic exercises for chakras and improvement of energy flow. I continued organising and leading workshops and courses, building in the new insights and methods I learned through my education in Snowlion Center School and Core Energetics.
Through the process of my own education I realised how important it is for the people who are beginning to work on themselves, to receive a good, responsible and gradual, step-by-step teaching. Very often I witnessed superficial approaches and damages that they did, so I realised how important it is for people to receive information on how to work on themselves in a safe way and also to learn what could be the possible damaging effects of the work they practice. I believe that there are several prerequisites for a safe individual and group work:

1.) To gradually introduce new participants into the methods of work.
2.) To emphasise self-responsibility and following one’s own conscience in work.
3.) To teach participants about damaging effects of dogmatism and blind praising of a certain teacher or method.
4.) That the teaching is open to communication with other teachings; that it is capable of seeing its own qualities and shortcomings, as well as those of the other teachings.

As the number of participants in my programs grew, in 2001 I decided with my partner Enesa Mahić to found an organisation that would enable people to receive a thorough and valuable education in different areas of self-development work. We founded the Society for Holistic Development Centaur.
The inspiration for the name came from Ken Wilber’s spectrum of consciousness theory, where Centaur represents the consciousness level on which the person integrates his/her mind (psyche) and body into one whole. That level is the middle stage of the consciousness development and most of the participants who come to our workshops need work that can lead them to that level. Without a clear integration of that level into their consciousness, the participants are not able to make a new step, where they transcend that level and become ready to enter the consciousness levels where the Ego integrates with the Higher Self.

Specific quality of Centaur work is our orientation to body oriented psychotherapy and other methods that we developed or presented in Croatia: holistic dream work, spiritual development through dance and movement, Core Energetics, Pathwork, psychodynamic therapy and psycho-spiritual energy therapy. The foundations of the work that we do were set by C.G. Jung, Wilhelm Reich, Alexander Lowen, John Pierrakos, Ken Wilber, Rosalyn Bruyere, Barbara Ann Brennan and other teachers.
